Exploring abstraction with Hanji handmade paper, Egyptian papyrus, wood, and original monotypes. I wanted to create a contemporary aesthetic but also incorporate my attraction to collage art from the 1940’s and 1950’s. Art with strong geometric compositions, for me, creates powerful relationships with color and energy. These are contemporary collages with a nod to history.
